Hello Darlin’… and the winner is…

Hi friends~ If I could sing to you right now, I’d sing Conway Twitty’s song Hello Darlin’… Do you remember that song? It’s what I immediately thought of when I sat down to write this quick post! πŸ™‚ So, please imagine this in your best Conway Twitty voice:

“Hello, darlin’, nice to see ya
It’s been a long time
You’re just as lovely as you used to be…”

Seriously…I have missed everyone – and have prayed that each of you had a wonderful time with your family, friends, and the Lord over this Christmas season! I certainly did. We were in Mississippi and enjoyed every minute of it! We got back late Sunday night and spent the day Monday taking down the tree, cleaning, and unpacking. Just a little bit more to do today, and then I’ll feel like I can “breathe” (and get back to blogging!) πŸ™‚

Today, I had originally planned on participating in the video blog carnival that Linda from 2nd Cup of Coffee organized. It’s called “I See What You’re Saying” – and instead of writing our posts for today, we were to record them on video. I even had my “script” planned out. But I just couldn’t get it done in time, and will try again for her next one. If you’d like to see some of your blog friends in person and on video, head over to 2nd Cup of Coffee and check out the links there. Sorry, Linda… next time… I promise!

On another note, we have a winner! For my 100th post, the give-away was two kinds of flavored coffee – so the winner can be “Smelling Coffee”, too. πŸ™‚ I have NO idea how to use those “random generators” that others use in choosing winners – so I had to rely on the old “pick a name from the hat method”. Actually, my daughter, Abigail, put all of the names on paper, and in keeping with the theme, drew one out of a coffee cup. And the winner is…

Jessica who happens to have a beautiful blog, btw! Congratulations, Jessica! Thanks for reading Smelling Coffee! And, thanks to every one of you for your kind and encouraging comments about this blog! You are all gifts to me!

And now… I must be off… no more blogging until this gets finished!

Just keepin’ it real! πŸ™‚ Have a great rest of the day, my blogging friends. I’ll be back tomorrow with Wednesday’s Word of the Day. Until then… love to each of you…

Edited to redeem myself (especially when my husband couldn’t believe that I’d actually posted a picture of my messy desk!) Here’s the finished project! So…Blogging, here I come…
