Sweet Sunday Scripture: Peace

Truly comforting words from our Savior:

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor,
Advocate, Strengthener, Standby),
the Holy Spirit,
Whom the Father will send in My name
[in My place, to represent Me
and act on My behalf],
He will teach you all things.

And He will cause you to recall
(will remind you of, bring to your remembrance)
everything I have told you.

Peace I leave with you;

My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you.
Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Do not let your hearts be troubled,
neither let them be afraid.
[Stop allowing yourselves
to be agitated and disturbed;
and do not permit yourselves to be fearful
and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

John 14:26-27 (Amplified)

Boy, have I needed these words lately! How about you?

With a heartfelt thanks to all of you who are praying for us~ We can tell. May the Lord bless YOU today with His peace…

  1. Jennifer, powerful scriptures! Thank you for sharing! Blessings.

  2. My sister in Christ, this Scripture has been highlighted in my Bible for YEARS and I speak it often so thank you for this. On a day when we came home to the news (on TV) of another person in the body of Christ being slain due to evil intent, I find comfort in this Scripture.

    I continue to pray for you and the families that are standing for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

    Love you.

  3. I needed this today too. So glad to see you back in bloggy world!
