One day, we will be thankful for our burdens…

Have you seen this? It circulates through e-mail often, but when I received it from a sweet friend yesterday, it blessed me afresh. I was encouraged, and I just know it will encourage some of you, too.

We complain about the cross we bear
but don’t realize it is preparing us for the
dip in the road
that God can see
and we cannot.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

May the Lord encourage you today in whatever you are facing. His Word assures us that whether we can see it or not: God is Good. God’s Ways are Right. And God is Working. One day, we will see His glory and our good come from every heavy load we are called to bear in this life. And one day, we will be thankful for every one of them. Really. Somehow.
Because that’s how the wonderful God we love and live for redeems every sorrow.

Love to each of you…
Jennifer

  3. Thanks Jennifer. My heart has really been heavy this past week, I needed to see this. I, too, am so tired from the burdens I've been under the past 2 years. I needed to remember that it's all for the Lord's purposes, and that I will come out of this stronger.

  4. I have never seen this before…but I'm sure I won't soon forget it! Thanks for sharing – have a blessed weekend!

Isn't this the truth? I can relate for sure. It seems hard to remember that God is shaping us through our trials.

  6. Amen! I never tire of this message. Just a good and powerful reminder that not one thing happens to us that hasn't first passed through God's permissive will, and that if he allows it, it is ultimately for our good. Thank you for sharing this today. Haven't seen it in awhile and it was good to be reminded.

    Blessings,
    Tracy
