Hi friends ~ Can this really be the end of January? I honestly don’t know where this month has gone. I had so many things I wanted to accomplish this month, especially on this blog. But for some reason, I have run out of both time and words. It’s been such a busy and full month, especially for January {which in my life is usually the month where things settle down, we regroup, and we rev up for the upcoming year}.
Not this year. In addition to regular life responsibilities, I have: cleaned out and organized two major closets, spoken at a weekend retreat in Alabama (which is why I had to clean out the closets – my notes were buried too deep to find any other way!), prepared a message for a Senior Adult event (that was postponed due to inclement weather), chaired the hostess committee for the January Garden Club luncheon, studied a few minor prophets and taught Sunday School lessons on them, started the So Long Insecurity book club at FBCC, and just finished hosting a group of lovely 11th and 12th grade girls for a weekend of Disciple Now. 😉
Needless to say, it’s been a wonderful month, but I’ve been pretty tired by the end of the day and the ole blog has been a bit neglected. I know many of you can relate!
In the midst of this, however, I did manage to try a few new recipes from Pinterest. They were yummy successes!…especially the “Chocolate Crack” – which would be a delicious treat for Super Bowl Sunday or Valentine’s Day. I just love Pinterest! Don’t you? (I’ve missed both it and YOU lately!!!)
Hope you are off to a wonderful week. I’ll put up a So Long Insecurity post soon. Much love to you all, my friends~

Chocolate Crack (and it IS addictive!)

This Crock-Pot Chicken and Rice was as yummy as it was easy – right up my cooking alley!

These Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels were to die for! I made (Actually, Abigail made) several batches for us to share with people for Christmas, and they were big hits. We used both the small pretzel twists (as pictured below) and the tiny pretzel sticks.

And one more successful Pinterest Pick:
This site lets you make a pretty custom monogram for free! – so easy and cute. I made one with a “W” for a screen saver on my phone. 🙂
