Bible Study via FBC Cleveland

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday. 🙂  I wanted to pass along some information to those in the Cleveland, MS area about what’s up with the  Women’s Bible Studies for this term at FBC.  If you are anywhere nearby, we’d love for you to join in!  If you aren’t nearby, but are looking for a few Bible Study options, maybe these will spark your interest and you can grab a friend and dig deep together.

Our church is under a much-needed and long-awaited and prayer-covered renovation right now.  It’s so exciting!  But because of that, everyone is willingly making adjustments.  One of those adjustments is that we don’t have the space to offer our normal “options” for Bible study dates and times each week.  So… here’s what God has provided for this Winter/Spring term at FBC:

Wednesday Evening Classes at FBC Cleveland: 6:00 – 7:00 pm

CLASSES BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY, FEB. 4.  Books can be purchased the first week of class.  Register through FBC: 662-843-2701

1. Before Amen, The Power of a Simple Prayer – by Max Lucado. Led by Charlotte Dye

Ever feel like a “prayer wimp?” Would you believe that Max Lucado can relate? In Before Amen Lucado writes for everyone who wants to pray more, better and stronger, with more fire, faith and fervency. He joins readers on a four week journey to the very heart of biblical prayer, offering hope for doubts and confidence even for prayer wimps.

2. The Five Love Languages – by Dr. Gary Chapman. Led by Brenda Dean
Books: $10.00

Between busy schedules and long days, expressing love to our spouses, children, family, friends, and coworkers can fall by the wayside. The things that say “I love you” or “I appreciate you” in the ways that mean the most to our loved ones seem to not get said or done. This study will help you learn a simple way to give and receive love in the languages that speak the loudest to those in your life.

It is always a gift to see women dig into and blossom through the Word of God.  These days, there are so many wonderful options (between printed material, online studies, e-books, etc) that we are truly {praise the Lord} without excuse if we choose to keep our Swords sheathed.  Never is a moment spent in the Word of God wasted!I love how the Message phrases this beautiful truth!

“I don’t think the way you think.
The way you work isn’t the way I work.”
        God’s Decree.
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think.

Just as rain and snow descend from the skies
and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of my mouth
    not come back empty-handed.

They’ll do the work I sent them to do,
they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.
Isaiah 55:8-11, MSG

With praise and glory to the Lord… and with love for His Word and you~
