Hello again! and a Sweet Sunday Scripture

I love the Lord. Psalm 18:1-3 SmellingCoffee.com

Hi my friends!  It’s been SO long, hasn’t it?  How have YOU been?

Though I haven’t fully finished my shoulder rehab, I’m about 90% back to feeling like myself and have missed you terribly!   Thank you so much to those of you who prayed for me over the past few months.

I must say, this surgery, recovery, pain, and difficulty of rehab has taken me by surprise. In comparison to many things that some of you may be experiencing, I’m sure it’s a walk in the park.  But to me, it’s been the hardest physical, mental, and emotional thing all wrapped up in one package that I’ve faced yet.  But God… As always, He has been faithful, and I can do nothing but praise His Holy Name!

One of the things I sensed that the Lord was going to do during this period of confinement was to work something out of me, work something into me, and work something through me.  Kind of like Spiritual Rehab.  We’re still working at it… but I can tell you one thing – He is doing exactly this.  At times, it’s been as spiritually painful as the physical surgery and recovery… but in the end, I trust that my heart will be just as whole  as my shoulder. 🙂  {I’ll share more about that soon.}

For now, I want to leave you with something sweet for your Sunday morning coffee:  A favorite Scripture that I have meditated upon daily during the past two and a half months, that has brought great joy and peace, Psalm 18:1-3.

I love you, Lord;
    you are my strength.
 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;

    my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
    and my place of safety.
I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
    and he saved me from my enemies.
Psalm 18:1-3 (NLT)

May YOU know the Lord as these names to you, too, my friends.
Happy Sunday!
